Name Giving Ceremony

As you welcome your child into the loving community of your family and friends, bestowing the names you have chosen, I offer my experience as a Civil Celebrant in advising and assisting you with a special ceremony.

We will look at styles of ceremony, involvement of siblings, grandparents, godparents/mentors, and ways to celebrate and mark the occasion. You might like to have a "Wish Book", or some balloons and magic dust! 

Certificates are also provided for child and the godparents/mentors.

As there are no legal requirements, no Birth Certificate is required.

A combined Wedding and Name Giving ceremony is also a lovely occasion.

My fee for a Name Giving is $200. Travel outside Hobart is by negotiation.

Funerals and Memorial Services 

My life experience has provided me with personal knowledge of the times when we need empathy, as well as the assistance of a calm, experienced Celebrant.

It will be my privilege to work with you to prepare a ceremony that expresses just what you want to - an individual service about your thoughts and your memories.

I will meet with family and funeral director as needed, helping with appropriate wording, readings, music and, if you wish, cultural symbols or ritual.

My fee of $300 also includes travel to the funeral venues in the Hobart area, together with a printed copy of the ceremony.
